Jeff Barnes has over 30 years of experience implementing USAID projects, mostly in the health sector and often with a mandate to strengthen or establish local organizations. His expertise is in social marketing, social and behavior change communications and private sector approaches to health. He has conducted a number of private health sector assessments and published primers on public private partnerships and total market approaches. Prior to joining Palladium, he worked with Abt Associates where his last assignment was to help a local social marketing organization, CRS, improve performance and sustainability. While with PSI, Mr. Barnes helped establish a local social marketing organization in Cote D’Ivoire, AIMAS, in 2002 which continues to implement a national social marketing program. Mr. Barnes holds an MBA from American Graduate School of International Management, now Arizona State University.
