Webinar: Local Capacity Development – Past Lessons and Future Directions

August 9, 2021

On May 27, 2021, USAID’s Bureau for Global Health and the New Partnerships Initiative Expanding Health Partnerships activity hosted a discussion on USAID’s focus on local capacity development (LCD), how LCD fits into the broader development context, and the application of LCD at the local level. This webinar includes remarks from USAID’s Bureau for Global Health Acting Assistant Administrator Kerry Pelzman and the U.S. Global Malaria Coordinator Dr. Raj Panjabi as well as representatives from local organizations in Bolivia and Bangladesh.

This is the first webinar in a year-long series of webinars (2021-2022) on LCD and global health. The series brings together USAID and international and local implementing partners to provide a collaborative learning platform to facilitate discussions across regions and countries on best practices, challenges, and current trends in LCD and global health.
