Webinar: The Way Forward – Locally Led Capacity Building Approaches

June 3, 2022

On June 2, 2022, NPI EXPAND and USAID’s Bureau for Global Health hosted another webinar in their joint series, ‘Local Capacity Development & Global Health’ to spotlight partnership models that have localized approaches to capacity strengthening through illustrative case studies. Presenters from T-MARC (Tanzania), PASADA (Tanzania), Total Family Health Organization (Ghana), and KCL (Ghana) shared lessons learned from their peer-to-peer capacity building experiences.

Speakers highlighted the critical nature of locally-led capacity strengthening frameworks, different approaches to locally-led capacity strengthening interventions, and how to incorporate these approaches in your own programming. This is the fifth webinar in a year-long series (2021-2022) of webinars on local capacity development (LCD) and global health. The series brings together USAID and international and local implementing partners to provide a collaborative learning platform to facilitate discussions across regions and countries on best practices, challenges, and current trends in LCD and global health.
